Österreich Werbung (ÖW) is Austria´s national tourism organisation. Established in 1955 under the name of “Österreichische Fremdenverkehrswerbung“ (Austrian advertising for tourism) in order to fulfill the public responsibility of “advertising Austria as tourism destination”, “Österreich Werbung” is continuing to work for promoting Austria as venue of tourism. The key objective of ÖW lies in maintaining and increasing the competitiveness of Austria as a tourist destination. It works towards this aim together with all Austrian partners that promote tourism.
