Österreichische Bundesbahnen
The OeBB group has been operationally active since January 1, 2005. In the stead of the OeBB in its previous form, a group structure had been established which is headed by OeBB Holding AG and comprises economically independent and autonomous public and private limited companies. This is intended to safeguard the economic viability and competitiveness of the railway. The Republic of Austria holds a 100% share in the group, the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology manages the shareholder rights.
OeBB Holding AG, which holds all shareholder rights in subordinate companies of the OeBB group, is mainly in charge of exercising these rights and of securing a uniform strategic focus for the entire OeBB group. The group includes: OeBB Personenverkehrs AG (OeBB Passenger Traffic), Postbus GmbH, Rail Cargo Austria AG, Infrastruktur AG, OeBB Traktion GmbH and OeBB Technische Services GmbH, furthermore OeBB Dienstleistungs GmbH and OeBB Immobilienmanagement GmbH (real estate management), as well as Werbecenter GmbH (advertising), Rail Tours Austria, and Brenner Eisenbahn GmbH (Brenner railway).
