ÖWM (Austrian Wine Marketing) supports and coordinates the strategic quality and sales efforts of the Austrian wine industry. On the domestic market, it aims to dominate the market segments for quality wine. The exported volume of bottled wine is to be doubled again within 10 years (new basis: year of 2000). The Austrian Agricultural Chamber and the Austrian Economic Chamber hold shares of 25% each in ÖWM, the Austrian provinces of Lower Austria and Burgenland 15% each, and 10% are owned by the provinces of Vienna and Styria, respectively.
