Atupri

Atupri health insurance is a Swiss insurance company based in Bern and specializing in medical and casualty insurance. The company was founded in 1910 as the employer-based health insurance fund of the Swiss Federal Railways and, as a result of the introduction of the health insurance law of 1995, it was converted into a foundation (Krankenkasse SBB). In the course of opening up to insure further external parties, the name was changed to Atupri in 2003. In 2015, Atupri generated a premium income of 643.6 million Swiss francs with 223 employees and around 183,000 insured people.
