Lundbeck has a clear mission: improving the quality of living for individuals suffering from psychiatric or neurological illnesses. In 1961, Lundbeck Arzneimittel Ges.m.b.H. was incorporated in Austria as subsidiary of the Danish H. Lundbeck A/S. In 1988, it was decided to specialise in the central nervous system. Lundbeck is the only pharmaceutical company with this particular focus. The company employs about 5,500 individuals in 55 countries, Lundbeck medicinal products for the treatment of depression, schizophrenia, Alzheimer´s or Parkinson´s disease as well as sleep disorders have been authorised in 90 countries.
