Barbara Khayat is an exceptionally learned personality. At the University of Vienna, the WU Vienna and a Summer University in Hanoi she has accumulated abundant knowledge, which today makes her one of these perfectly fitting elements in the jigsaw puzzle that in its entirety makes up marketmind. Her specialisation during her studies: marketing, advertising, and brand management. Her bachelor thesis: green consumer behaviour. Her additional strength: the highly eloquent command of words and entire languages. Which raises the issue of communication: in her industry focus with marketmind, which is studies in telecommunications, Barbara Khayat has found the perfect field to which she dedicates her qualities.

 

Marksmanship

Besides all education and learned ability, Barbara Khayat is also on the mark as a person. Somebody that you like to come together with: spirited, with a sense of humour, friendly, helpful – all of these things and more. She also likes shooting photos. Her smile in turn is disarming. In short: we are happy that Barbara Khayat has found her way to us. Which is not all that natural from a geographic viewpoint, because, let´s put it like this: she of all people is well advised to consult a sat nav every now and then. But in her professional surroundings she always maintains a clear sense of orientation.

Horizons – and what stretches beyond them

If Barbara Khayat is on the loose, this usually equals “out in the wilderness”. She loves nature and nature-related trips to faraway destinations – those off the beaten tourist paths. Her preferred destinations are South East Asia, Mexico, Cuba, and more recently Africa. Because foreign horizons broaden one´s own view of the world, or, in her words,” One only realises then how small one is oneself and how negligible some things are that take on such an importance in everyday life.” By the way, Barbara Khayat is always quick to spot what is essential. No core of a matter will escape her.

Easy (on the stomach)

In her spare time, Barbara Khayat does approximately as much as during her working hours, that is, everything all the time. Apart from the possible case that she listens to the waves of the sea, she is practically incapable of not doing anything – not only in the philosophical, but also in a very tangible physical sense. If occasionally there should be anything that cannot be settled right away, it is put on one of her voluminous to-do-lists and may consequently be transferred to the respective consecutive lists. Besides, Barbara Khayat is a brilliant cook. And luckily sometimes puts her culinary skills to use for the benefit of our team. After all, also for marketmind the old adage is true that the way to our hearts is through our stomachs.
