Expertise in serenity

Lucas Pum remains calm. Within our team, he is known as a good listener, cooperative and blessed with a refreshing sense of dry humour. Thus he pursues his work as Research Consultant – comprising studies on customer satisfaction, segmentations and qualitative interviews – always in an imperturbable and friendly way. His style of working can be described as calm and conscientious – particularly with Manuel Nußbaumer, he has evolved into well-rehearsed duo. Speaking of calm – within the team, we heard things about him like, “He is transmitting an unbelievable calmness – like a special aura that surrounds him!”

Northern light
Lucas Pum absolved his studies in Hamburg, with focus on Brand and Consumer Sociology, as well as the Austrian Marketing University of Applied Sciences. Apart from his profound knowledge he has brought along several years of experience in psychological market und consumer research. During his auxiliary studies in Language and Culture of South East Asia, he also acquired some knowledge of Indonesian – something that we rather admire than use on a daily basis. Unfortunately, his efforts to integrate Northern German language norms into our office routine, starting with the daily “Moin, Moin”, have not been successful so far. However, this does not make Lucas Pum despair in his northern coolness, with a propensity towards Scandinavia.

Passion for all elements
Lucas Pum loves nature and discovers different landscapes on both sunny and rainy days during biking (mountain bike or racing bike, both in stock) and trekking. When practising another one of his passions, cooking, he uses a wide variety of spices and also cultivates a chili plantation on his terrace. Also outside the spice shelf, he enjoys discovering new cultures. He likes drinking tea as well as experimenting with gin, and has established a reputation as grill master.

Lucas Pum also feels drawn towards water – the sea in particular, which is of course easier to reach in Northern Germany than over here. However, he has already established a close friendship with the Austrian mountains. He loves movies, but only the good ones – in order to find the best movies, he tends to research longer than it takes to actually watch a movie.

Open mind, open ears
Lucas Pum is known as a good conversation partner, concerning both professional and private matters. Apart from his sympathetic ear, he has a substantial repertoire of special topics on which he likes to share his expertise. This includes, among others, vegetable cultivation and do-it-yourself matters – whereby it needs to be said that Lucas Pum’s passion exceeds his talent on the latter.
When leaving the office at the end of a working day, you can never be sure whether he is really gone for good. Maybe he forgot his purse. Or his glasses. Or his keys. Still, we are always happy when he re-appears, since it is always a new opportunity for a good conversation.
