Waff (Wiener ArbeitnehmerInnen Förderungsfonds - Vienna Employment Promotion Fund)
In 1995, the provincial government of Vienna acted on the initiative of employee interest groups and was the first province to establish an employment promotion fund, a separate body for the promotion of active employment policy and for the implementation of corresponding measures and programmes. In 2009, almost 30,000 Viennese employees and more than 1,400 companies located in Vienna were supported with diverse measures.
