On July 2nd, 1900, the first Zeppelin airship took off. On board: visionary and company founder Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin – the history of the Zeppelin group began. In 1954, Zeppelin obtained the exclusive rights for the distribution and service of Caterpillar construction machinery. The general agency for Caterpillar in Austria was awarded to the Eisner company. A joint venture between Eisner Baumaschinen Vertrieb und Service GmbH (Eisner Construction Machinery Distribution and Service) and the German Zeppelin Baumaschinen GmbH (Zeppelin Construction Machinery) led to the incorporation of Zeppelin Österreich GmbH in 1992. The company offers a range of heavy-duty construction machinery, engines, and aggregates as well as a number of services including rental arrangements.
