AMS – Arbeitsmarktservice (Public Employment Service Austria)
Public Employment Service Austria - AMS in short – is the leading service provider on the Austrian labour market. Its key tasks comprise placing employees on corresponding vacancies and supporting the initiative of those looking for employment and of companies by means of consulting, information, qualification measures, and financial subsidies. As service provider incorporated under public law, AMS contributes towards preventing and eliminating unemployment in Austria. It acts in alignment with the policy of full employment pursued by the Federal Government and on behalf of the Federal Minister for Employment, Social Issues and Consumer Protection, and under considerable participation of the official representative bodies of employers and employees.
